Tagline and Synopsis:

From the USA Today bestselling author of Inseparable and When Forever Changes comes another emotional, angsty, new adult romance that will rip your heart apart before mending it again.

I’m head over heels in love with my best friend. Although, I can’t pinpoint exactly when Reeve Lancaster became my entire world.

Was it when we were little kids, practically brought up together, after Reeve’s mom died during childbirth and his dad subsequently fell apart? Or when I doodled his name in my school journal at age ten? Maybe it was when we became boyfriend and girlfriend at fourteen or when we shed our virginity at sixteen, pledging our forever?

I was there as his star ascended—like I’d always known it would—and there wasn’t a prouder person on the planet. As the only child of Hollywood’s golden couple, I’ve lived my life in the spotlight enough to know it wasn’t what I wanted for my future. But I sacrificed my own desires, because Reeve’s happiness meant everything to me.

Until he crushed my heart into itty-bitty pieces, forcing me to fly halfway around the world just to escape the gut-wrenching pain.

The opportunity to study at Trinity College Dublin came at the perfect moment, and I jumped at the chance without hesitation. If I’d known fate was meddling in my life, perhaps I would have chosen differently, but my future was cemented the instant I laid eyes on him.

Dillon O’Donoghue was Reeve’s polar opposite in every way, and perhaps, that’s why I felt drawn to him. He was the dark to my light. The thorn in my side, irritating me with his cold disdain, wild recklessness, and a burning rage hidden deep inside him that spoke to a silent part within me. Yet Dillon showed me what it was like to truly live, opening my eyes to endless possibilities.

What happened next was inevitable, and I only have myself to blame. He warned me, and I knew my reprieve was temporary, because there is only so far I can run.

Especially when fate hasn’t finished messing with me yet.

My Review:

!!ATTENTION!! Stop what you are doing right now and seek out this book! Drop whatever you are reading! Get some tissues, get yourself some snacks (because you’re going to be here a while – this book is a whopping almost 600 pages – but SO worth it), make sure to hydrate… and immerse yourself in this emotionally wrecking book! Honestly, I stayed up into the early morning hours because I couldn’t stop reading this book. YOU NEED THIS BOOK!!!

I was initially a little nervous to dive into this one because, holy smokes, 580 pages? But there was no way that you would want this one to be shortened at all. Inside these pages Siobhan packs the most intense book I have read all year, for sure… but maybe even longer? This is one of those books that totally and completely wraps itself around your heart and squeezes. Say I’m the One surpasses the five star rating system!

This book demonstrates the tests of love. And I mean the TRUE TESTS of love. How far will you go for love? What can you endure? And can that all consuming love find you more than once? Vivian and Reeve share a fairy tale romance and you will fall in love with this man. You will… When Vivian sacrifices her own happiness for the man of her dreams and it falls apart in front of her eyes, she does the only thing she can do. She leaves… the country. Starting completely fresh at a new college in a different country, Vivian finds the last thing she was looking for. Dillon is like night and day from Reeve. And even though it wasn’t what she was looking for, she falls hard for the man. What is a girl to do when fate lands two incredible loves in her path?

This is not a light and fluffy romance. This is painful and emotional. There are ups and downs and everything in between. But this was seriously AMAZING! I’m just going to be over here, stuck in my perpetual book hangover until I can read the conclusion. I’m not okay… Really, lol.

Excerpt

We come together, and it breaks me apart and heals me at the same time. As we
descend from our high, we curl against one another, skin to skin, with my head buried in
his shoulder. My fingers trace over the heart-shaped tattoo on his chest with my name
inside. I still can’t believe he got this for me because he’s always been adamant he
didn’t want any ink. Thinking of ink naturally leads me to thoughts of Dillon. Reality hits,
and I’m crying before I realize it.
My heart and soul forever belong to two men.
It’s an irrefutable truth that won’t ever change.
Reeve is the air I breathe.
Dillon is the fire that consumes me.
How am I expected to live without a part of my heart?
I don’t know what this means for my future or where I go from here, but I can’t deny
the truth any longer—I’m deeply in love with two men, and I’m a hot mess because I
have no clue what to do.

“I’m sorry. I don’t mean to upset you.” Dillon circles his arm around my shoulder,
pulling me in closer, and I rest my head against him. “I’m just trying to understand.”
“How much of a basket case I am?” I ask, half-laughing half-crying.
“How badly he damaged your heart and whether there’s any hope for an impatient
asshole like me.”
