My Book Review:
Molly E. Lee brings us a fast paced underdog story of epic proportions in Ember of Night.
All Harley wants is to protect her sister, especially if that means taking the brunt of the abuse from their father. But she has always felt like she wasn’t enough. Thankfully, her bond with her sister is unbreakable and she has her best friend Kai she can count on to always be there for her.
Though, suddenly Harley finds herself seeing these grotesque creatures she likens to drug addicts in bad shape coming after her, trying to kill her… And it doesn’t stop there. Monsters are coming after her and they want her blood.
Now, the girl who never felt like she was enough is learning that there are things about herself, very powerful things, that could make or break the world. And the arrival of a mysterious and incredibly enticing new guy in her life is just the icing on the cake. But he knows more about her than he lets on… and maybe he can help her to figure out who she is and what she is capable of.
This was a thrill ride from beginning to end. It was dark and eerie and absolutely a great reading experience! I can’t wait to see what is in store for Harley next.
