My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Nicole Dykes consistently writes just really amazing romances that work for me every single time! She never fails to pull on my heartstrings and make me fall in love with her characters. When I was asked to read and review her new mm romance, I COULD NOT RESIST! And this was just such a great story.
Two best friends, growing up alongside one another through their childhoods, elementary school and high school with so much in common but both having their own separate interests as well always thought they would go into the MLB together… But when Ryan gets into college and Grady decides to pursue a musical career, they share a moment together at a party before everything changes.
Now, it is seven years later and the two are back in the same place at the same time. So much has changed, but so much remains the same. As the two try to rekindle their friendship, those old secret feelings come back, too. Both of them are on such different paths. Can they set aside everything else in their lives and do what is in their hearts?
OMG, this was such a swoon-worthy romance. We have the rockstar and the athlete, who even after all these years, still feel such a strong pull to one another. I just loved it so much!
